The SWITCH offer, in plain English.

These terms add to the RentCaddie Terms of Service, which still apply to your account. Where the two say different things about your free time, your lease limit or your reviews, these terms are the ones that count. By using the code you agree to both. Version 2026-10-10.

01 Who the offer is for

The offer is for a rental business that is new to RentCaddie: one that has never had a paid RentCaddie plan. It is one offer per business. A second account opened for the same business, the same properties or the same owner to get the free time again does not qualify, and we may end the free time on any account opened that way.

You take the offer by typing the code SWITCH in the code box when you sign up. The free time starts that day.

The code can be used by new accounts through 12/31/2026. The last day is read in Central time, and the whole of that day counts. From the day after, the code no longer works for a new account. Every account that used it on or before the last day keeps the offer exactly as these terms describe it.

02 What is free

The Pro plan, with everything in it, for 6 months from the day the code goes on your account. While your free time runs there is no limit on the number of active leases and no charge per lease. You do not give us a credit card.

What is not part of the software price. When a resident pays rent by card or bank transfer, the payment company (Stripe) takes its own processing fee. That fee is separate from RentCaddie’s price and still applies during your free time. The same is true of anything bought from another company through RentCaddie, such as a screening report.

03 We set your account up

Every account on this offer gets our setup service at no charge. Send us what you have: a spreadsheet, your leases, an export from the software you use now. We load your properties, residents, leases and balances from it. You can do as much or as little of it yourself as you like.

Your account is ready for you to check within 24 hours of the moment we have everything we need. If we have to ask you a question, the 24 hours start again when you answer. If it will take longer than that, we tell you before the time is up. We load what you send us as you sent it, so please check it before you turn it on.

04 Reviews that add months

Two reviews each add 3 months to your free time. Each kind counts once.

• A video review. At least 30 seconds, made by you, about how you really use RentCaddie.
• A written review. In your own words, about how you really use RentCaddie.

When a review counts. It counts once your first rent has come through RentCaddie, meaning a resident has paid rent online through your account, and while your free time is still running. A review sent before your first rent, or after your free time has ended, does not add months.

Honest, not positive. We are asking for your honest opinion. A review does not have to be positive to earn its months, and we will never ask you to change what you said. A review that meets the conditions above earns its months whether or not we publish it.

Keep your residents out of it. A review must not show or name a resident, or show a resident’s face, address, balance or any other private detail. If your screen is in the video, make sure no resident’s information can be read on it. A review that shows a resident’s private details does not count until it is sent again without them.

05 How we may use a review

By sending us a review you give RentCaddie permission to post it, shorten it, add captions to it and use it again, together with your name, your business name, your city, and your face and voice as they appear in it. We may use it on rentcaddie.com, on TikTok, on Instagram and in advertising. We may shorten a review for length, but we will not change what it means. You are not paid for this beyond the free months described above.

We say you received something. Wherever we publish your review, it carries a line saying you received free months of RentCaddie for it.

You can ask us to stop. Write to hello@rentcaddie.com and we will stop using your review and take it down from the places we control within 30 days. We cannot recall copies other people have already saved or shared, or advertising that has already run. You keep the months your review earned.

We may choose not to publish. We do not have to publish any review.

06 When the free time ends

We do not hold a card for you, so nothing is charged by itself. When your free time ends you choose a plan to keep using RentCaddie, at the prices shown on our Pricing page at that time. Today Pro is $236 a month. We tell you inside your account in the two weeks before your free time ends.

If you choose a paid plan before your free time is over, the paid plan starts then and the rest of the free time is not carried over.

Your records are yours. You can download a copy of your account information from Settings at any time, including after your free time ends, as described in the Terms of Service.

07 The rest of the rules

One per business. The offer cannot be combined with another RentCaddie offer on the same account, and it has no cash value.

Misuse. If an account was opened to get the free time more than once, or a review was not made by the person who runs the account, we may remove the months that review earned or end the free time on that account.

Ending the offer. We may stop offering the code to new accounts at any time. If we do, every account that already used it keeps its free time and can still earn its review months, on the terms it signed up under.
